Fields of Gold is the second in a series of concerts presented by The Choir of Newman College based on colour in music. From gilded dawns to Venetian sunsets and from the golden light of Christmas to the gifts of the Wise Men, this concert explores the way that gold has inspired composers through the ages. Joining the Choir is the Melbourne Baroque Orchestra to perform Antonio Vivaldi’s luminescent song of the angels, the Gloria RV 589, under the expert baton of Newman Choir director Gary Ekkel.
Tickets: $45, $30 (conc.), $15 (students)
